ABC: ‘Tears Are Not Enough’ (Neutron/Phonogram). Can’t help but feel that this lot are considerably less than they’re cracked up to be. ‘Tears’ is pleasant enough and doubtless danceable given the right environment (try partying in this office mate), but it’s unexceptional. Another white funk record, better than ‘Glow’ but not as good as ‘Favourite Shirts’. This is one bandwaggon that can roll without me to push it.
