Of the nine tracks here, there are only five different tunes, which makes this effort a first: it is recycling itself as it goes along. Relax, Two Tribes (very topical, that Reagan v Brezhnev debate) and Welcome To The Pleasure Dome are stretched and laundered to within an inch of their natural lives. Relax: The Jam & Spoon Trip-O-Matic Fairy Tale Mix sounds intriguing, but sadly the mixers’ ingenuity fails to extend beyond their own nomenclature. Frankie Goes To Hollywood were always a product of hype and hope. Once, though, there was a hint of freshness about their cheek: now even the joke in the title is a tired re-tread.
