FRANKIE Goes To Hollywood hit another landmark yesterday. The band’s “Two Tribes” single — number one for the past seven weeks — has gone platinum.

The record has now sold over a million copies in Britain, fast approaching the phenomenal sales of Frankie’s debut disc “Relax.”

Two Tribes was released on June 4. The following week it went straight in at number one, a position it has held since. The 12-inch version of the single has now qualified for a gold disc, selling over 500,000 copies,
